Hospice and Palliative Care
If your cat has been diagnosed with a complicated chronic or terminal diagnosis it can be challenging to navigate continued care with an emphasis on comfort and not cure. Dr. Eigner will work with you so you understand what is happening with your cat and will design a comfort focused treatement plan that will empower you to care for your cat at home. Palliative and hospice care is appropriate if your cat has: - a progressive disease like chronic kidney disease - a chronic, painful disabling condition like degenerative joint disease (arthritis) - a terminal diagnosis like cancer - is ill and you have declined definitive diagnostic tests in lieu of focusing on keeping your cat comfortable
